The Suunto Smart Heart Rate Belt SS050579000 is a redesigned version of the Suunto heart rate belt. This model, released in October 2020, has been significantly improved. The upgraded belt is significantly more durable than its predecessor and provides more accurate heart rate measurement. Its small size and soft strap make it extremely comfortable to wear, and most of the time you won't even notice it's there during your workout. The belt also stores your heart rate in its internal memory for sports where using a phone or wrist computer is not practical. Examples of such sports include hockey, football and swimming. The heart rate is recorded over a period of about 8 hours and the data is automatically transferred to your device when the belt and the meter are close enough. Memory recording only works with Suunto devices.
The Suunto Smart heart rate belt uses the Bluetooth Smart signal and is available with all the latest Suunto heart rate monitor models. It is also compatible with third-party iPhone and Android sports apps, provided your phone has Bluetooth Smart connectivity. The Suunto Smart Sensor has a diameter of only 40 mm and a strap width of 30 mm. Changing batteries and installing software updates on your device is a snap for anyone. The belt comes in size M and fits chest circumferences from 70 to 110 cm. Available separately in S and L sizes.
