Ukko Smasher 1300 + Smoky Whisky RUB is a masterpiece from Finnish turners, which will help you make the world's best steaks on the grill or cast iron pan. It's made by turning and welding 100% food-grade steel (AISI304). The Ukko Smasher has a total weight of 1.3 kg, with a turned solid steel handle (390 gr) for a firm grip and no heat in use. For a perfect finish, the press has a smoothly ground base (700 gr) that flattens the steak meat, making the steak perfect. The disc is 120 mm in diameter and 8 mm thick. The Ukko Smasher 1300 is machine washable.
Making steaks with the Ukko Smasher:
1. Bring the mince to room temperature about half an hour before frying. For best results, use high-fat (18-20%) domestic beef.

2. Cut the minced meat into pieces of about 100 g and roll them gently into meatballs.
3. Heat a griddle or cast iron pan and add a knob of butter. Allow to brown slightly.
4. Place the meat in the pan and press the steak firmly for 8-10 seconds until the meatball flattens into a 6-8 mm steak.
5. Leave the Ukko Smasher as a weight on the steak to prevent the meat from pulling away. Bake for up to one minute.
6. Turn the steak and repeat again. Add salt and spices.
7. Place the finished steaks in a bun. Add cheddar cheese, lettuce, pickles, onion, tomato and mayonnaise. Enjoy!
