Withings BPM Core Blood Pressure Monitor ECG + Stethoscope - Developed for Health & Backed by Science
Withings BPM Core is an easy-to-use and advanced blood pressure monitor developed with the help of cardiologists at two major hospitals in Paris. At the touch of a button, you can retrieve three different cardiac health check-up essentials. Readings are instantly displayed on the device, and Wi-Fi sync means you don't need your phone nearby. Use BPM Core to help better manage your hypertension and check the effectiveness of your treatments. With a few taps on your smartphone, you can share your measurements with your doctor, including your blood pressure history and ECG record. BPM Core can be used by up to 8 people. You can assign a measurement to a specific user directly on the device.
Blood pressure measurement
1/3 of adults have high blood pressure. It is the most common cause of heart disease and stroke, with symptoms that are not always noticeable. Withings BPM Core provides medically accurate results of systolic (upper) and diastolic (lower) blood pressure and heart rate. Measuring your blood pressure at home with the BPM Core can also help you avoid white coat syndrome, which means that the elevated blood pressure measured at the doctor's office is higher than the result obtained at home. With BPM Core, you can detect masked blood pressure and manage your blood pressure at night. After each measurement, you will see easy-to-read colour-coded feedback based on the recommendations of the European Society of Hypertension. The European Society of Hypertension recommends home monitoring of blood pressure to improve control and obtain better prognostic indicators.
Detect atrial fibrillation with an electrocardiogram
One in four middle-aged adults will develop atrial fibrillation. Atrial fibrillation is the most common form of arrhythmia and can lead to heart failure, fatigue and shortness of breath. Atrial fibrillation also leads to a high risk of stroke and often has no symptoms. However, it can be detected by an electrocardiogram. Withings BPM Core records a medical ECG with three electrodes. Two in a cuff and one in a steel tube that is held during the measurement. The data is displayed live on the device and sent to the connected Withings app, so you get instant feedback if you show signs of atrial fibrillation.
Digital Stethoscope
People with high blood pressure are more likely to develop heart valve disease. Valvular heart disease is characterised by heart valve damage, which can lead to heart failure and may require surgical intervention. The disease can go undetected for a long time. Patients with valve disease are often unaware of it and therefore benefit from early diagnosis. The BPM Core digital stethoscope's precise sound sensor is placed next to the chest during the measurement, enabling it to detect specific heart sound frequencies that correspond to the opening and closing of the heart valves. Using these sounds, a patented artificial intelligence, developed with cardiologists and trained using thousands of real heart sound recordings, can detect any abnormalities.
Withings BPM Core syncs seamlessly with the free Withings app. You can access your data in the app or online with your personal Withings account. Track your progress, share your data, set reminders for measurements and more. You can also sync BPM Core with Apple Health to export or import your blood pressure and heart rate data.
